understood accepted lovedWe all want to be understood, accepted and loved. But when one of our sisters becomes unexpectedly pregnant, we say: “Go get an abortion and go back to your life as if nothing happened!”

In that moment; we don’t understand, we don’t accept, we don’t love.

We want the baby bump out of sight, out of mind and we sweep under the rug the trauma resulting from such destructive act. When we call the child in the womb “unwanted”, it’s also the mother whom we un-want. As long as we, as a society, continue to reject pregnant women in that way, none of us will truly be understood, accepted or loved.
